The Story Behind The Shirt

My room has slowly gotten messier....
So with this top comes a story. I have not had this shirt since May last year. But I bought it two years ago. How you may ask. Well I will tell you. I so graciously lent this shirt out to a girl in my English class last year, who at the time was dating my best friend. I mean who am I to complain she obviously likes my clothes hence why she asked to borrow the top right? Well when I lend things out I normally expect them back within a week to two weeks. She didn't get this memo. In fact she kept this top. All summer. All fall. Can you just imagine how many outfit oppurtunities I missed because she had this top?! Tragic. Well I finally got this top back...yesterday. And I was so excited to wear it! But it's safe to say I'm a little cautious when lending out clothes now.
So I paired this wonderful missing top with a white scarf, gray leather jacket, jeans, and my gray booties. Now, I'm embarrassed to admit it but, I forgot that I had these shoes for awhile. But it's not my fault! They were hiding under my bed. So technically it's their fault. That's right I'm blaming the shoes, inanimate objects.

Sister's Keeper

Ok I have a confession to make...I did not come up with this outfit. My sister did. I mean she paired with a pair of flat black booties and these are my jeans and she didn't have the cute accesories but technically it was her idea. So I have to give her props. But I thought I'd add my own personal pizazz to it and pair it with my black wedges. And had to add the sparkly accesories to I wore a gold jeweled necklace.
See my room in the background? Yeah I need to clean it. Have I? ....nope.

New Finds

I almost never wear this top. Or these shoes. And I'm not quite sure why because both are adorable. So when I found them in the back of my slowly getting messier closet it was like I just bought two new items...FOR FREE. For those of you who don't know what this feeling is like, it's better than chocolate and love. So then I decided to pair this adorable top and these shoes with dark jeans, a navy blue blazer, and a white tank underneath because the top is cropped and I'm pretty sure that violates school dress code.

For jewelry I added a gold chain bracelet, a pink and gold layered necklace, and...
this new ring that I got that I'm COMPLETELY obsessed with. I'm obsessed with skulls in general but this ring literally blows my mind. I'm in love with it. I'll have to break the news to my boyfriend that I'm having an affair....with this ring.

Stripes On Black

I got this shirt at as a gift for Christmas and I love it. It's cute and has so many outfit possibilities, I can't wait to try them all out. This was the first one that came to mind, I love the contrast of the fitted shirt and the full skirt. Of course I had to pair my black wedges with this outfit to complete the look.

I curled my hair again for this look...I've been curling my hair a lot lately.

Shopping Prep

I wore this to go shopping with my friend Sav, it kind of made me feel like Spencer Hastings. It was preppy yet stylish. I love this boots with all my heart. They go with almost everything and give an outfit instant prep.

I have an incredible love for blazers and this one is a staple in my wardrobe. And adding a scarf instantly adds a stylish touch.

Natural hair!!!

Dancer's Day Off

I wore what I call a dancers off duty outfit this day. Leggings,a tank top, jean jacket, combat boots, and a FEDORA. I personally love this look for a casual Saturday just hanging with friends and running errands. It's cute but comfortable. I live in this boots on the weekend mostly unless I'm going out.

Rough And Soft

I wore this last week when the weather was nice and it was warm enough to go to the beach. I love pairing these shorts with a nice top like this mixing rough and soft pieces. And I almost never wear these sandals so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to bring them out. I honestly can't wait until it's actually summer and I can wear shorts all the time. I have multiple pairs of shorts on my wish list.

I curled my hair since it was too humid to wear it straight.

Pretty Little Liars: Hanna Marin

Pretty Little Liars: Hanna Marin

I know you all watch Pretty Little Liars. It's practically the new Gossip Girl except now we have four girls to look to fashion inspiration every week. Hanna Marin is definitely the girliest out of the four girls. She'd be the one reading Vogue on a Saturday instead of studying for that test or doing that project due Monday. She's always spot on with the trends and treats school like it's a runway show. My favorite line of hers is probably "I wear three inches or I wear nothing" speaking of her shoes. And it's right. She's almost always in five inch heels no matter what the occasion.

Hanna Inspired Outfits

This is something Hanna would wear to school. The yellow blazer adds a nice pop of color to an otherwise simple ensemble.

This lace blue dress is perfectly complimented with nude accesories. This works for a night out or in Hanna's case any average day.

Harem pants are really starting to emerge as a trend and they look so chic with a tank, moto jacket, and some pumps. This is definitely a fashion forward outfit.

Friday

I wore this Friday to school, it was like 75 degrees here so I didn't have to wear a jacket despite it being winter. This is one of my favorite tops because it's cute, it can be dressed down or up, and....the collar is sparkly. ohhh me and my sparkles(: I just simply paired with some jeans and flats for a casual look and added some silver jewelry and I was good to go. Gotta love casual Fridays.

Sequins

I love sequins. Or anything sparkly really. In fact my English teacher calls me Sparkly Sarah. I just don't think an outfit is complete without sparkles. So today I went full out and am wearing a sequin tank, gray sweater, and pink shorts. And yes I know it's January so what am I doing wearing shorts? Well here in the south it is going to be 70 degrees today. That's winter for us. So my sandals are also okay to wear and I won't freeze. I was going to wear my gray booties with this but I decided shorts and heels may push the adminstrators at my school over their limit. So I'm playing it safe with these sandals.

I curled my hair today and put the front piece into a braid giving it a casual but pretty look.

The Lying Game: Sutton/Emma

The Lying Game:

Sutton/Emma

So I love the Lying Game. Partly because the plot line is amazing and thrilling and I can't tear my eyes from the screen and partly because the clothes on the show are TO DIE FOR. I literally want everything the characters on the wear in my closet. Oh and did I mention the SIZE of the closets in this show?! If that's what living in Pheonix looks like I'm packing now!
Sutton Mercer is twins with Emma so they're the same style. Sutton can be a little more risque at times but not too much. I love how she always remains girly and looks so chic for simple things like school. And the way she wears sequins....she's my soul sister. I really love the dress in the upper left corner. I think it's sophiscated yet still doesn't look like she's trying to play grown up. The one on the right below is a little more casual...with five inch wedges. But that's about as casual as Sutton gets. And that orange jacket on the bottom OMG I saw it and nearly died I love it so much. A pop of color is always a nice touch to add to spice up an outfit.
